Support the circles

A community of holding

An invitation to support the Grief Circles at SAAM

We are living through a time of profound and ongoing loss. Loss of lives to war. Loss of ecosystems, languages, and species we will never recover. Loss of connection — to our authentic selves, to each other, to any sense that we have power over what is happening around us. The loss of belonging. Of identity. Of the world as we knew it.

This grief from these losses is real. It lives in our exhaustion, our numbness, our restlessness, the heaviness that settles in our bodies. And most of us carry it alone.

The Grief Circles at SAAM are offered free of charge — because access to communal spaces of healing should never depend on what someone can afford. This is a conviction at the heart of this work: that grieving together is a human right, not a privilege.

And yet, these circles do have costs — the facilitator’s time and preparation, the rental of this space at SAAM, the materials and warmth that make it possible. So we are asking for something that feels in keeping with the spirit of this work: a layer of communal support to help hold what holds others.

With gratitude,

Donate what feels right to you

Your contribution helps cover the cost of the space, the facilitator's time, and the materials that make each circle possible. Every donation — large or small — is a act of communal care, and it is felt. No amount is too small. No explanation is needed. Simply give what you can, knowing it goes directly toward keeping this space alive for others.
